Duties: A Project Manager plays a central role in ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within scope and on budget. Some key responsibilities include:
- Project Planning: Leads the development of comprehensive project plans, sets strategic goals, defines scope, and timelines.
- Resource Management: Allocates resources, assigns tasks to teams, and is accountable for team performance and workload balancing.
- Decision Making: Full authority to make critical project decisions, including scope changes, budget reallocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Team Management: Directly manages the project team, delegates tasks, and resolves interpersonal or professional conflicts. Ensures team adherence to project milestones..
- Risk Management: Develops and implements comprehensive risk management plans. Leads risk assessment workshops and finalizes risk mitigation strategies.
- Progress Monitoring; Oversees the entire project lifecycle, makes real-time adjustments to timelines, resources, and priorities as necessary.
- Stakeholder & Client Management: Directly interfaces with clients, stakeholders, and vendors, addressing their concerns, handling negotiations, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiates terms with contractors, vendors, and suppliers, and ensures that all contracts are compliant and financially viable.
- Budget Management: Manages and approves the project budget, makes financial adjustments as necessary to ensure project stays within scope and on budget.
- Compliance & Permitting: Ensures project compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards. Manages permits and licenses for the project.
- Quality Control: Reviews and approves final deliverables, enforces quality standards, and manages client feedback for revisions.
- Project Closeout: Leads project closeout activities, including client handover, final reports, and post-project review meetings. Compiles lessons learned and ensures all documentation is complete.
- Client Relationship Management: Builds long-term relationships with clients, ensuring future opportunities and resolving high-level issues beyond the project scope.
- Strategic Involvement: Engages in strategic planning for company-wide initiatives, improving project methodologies and implementing new technologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 5 years of experience in the job or related position OR master’s degree in engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 2 years’ experience in the job or related position. Must be PMP Certified or NABCEP certified. Prior education, training or experience to include:
- PV construction
- PV systems, inverters and project financing
- MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio, Procore software, Helio Scope and Energy Tool Base
Remote Position with travel to job sites as necessary up to 50%.
