Contract Administrator

Reports to:  CEO

Purpose of Role:  The Contract Administrator will support the CEO with a variety of legal and policy related tasks including but not limited to contract administration, standardization of templates, as well as renewable energy policy analysis at the state and national level.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops, prepares, and administers contracts, bids, and proposals that meet specifications and comply with all policies and regulations.
  • Supports and/or participates in contract negotiations with suppliers, partners, or customers. Reviews contract terms to identify any potential risk or compliance issues.
  • Examines supporting materials and agreement documents related to bids or contracts and provides guidance.
  • Acts as liaison between the organization and subcontractors to develop and occasionally implement contracts.
  • Maintains contract records used to ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain contract database to ensure all stakeholders have access to signed agreements and understand the terms.
  • Analyze signed contracts and transfer contract obligations to project management software.
  • Stay updated on regulatory and legislative changes in the renewable energy and construction industries to make sure all contracts are compliant and to inform the Core team on important policy, regulatory and legal changes.
  • Ensure all legal document templates are consistent, organized, and accessible.
  • Assist team with business filings and compliance matters.

 

Requirements | Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in clean energy, law or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in legal related work, i.e. paralegal, contracts administration, etc.
  • A demonstrated interest in the renewable energy sector is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal and technical documents.
  • Proficiency in common office applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Independent, self-starter with the ability to plan and prioritize work schedules and balance competing projects.
  • In office presence 5 days a week
