Project Coordinator

Purpose: Provide coordination and administrative support services to the Project Management Team. Act as project management liaison and provide direct support for development activity related to commercial and utility-scale PV solar projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Departmental, project level, and administrative support for the Project Management Team
  • Maintain departmental protocols and practices
  • Create and review reports, permit deliverables, environmental reports, budgets, schedules, contracts, and other documents
  • Support project feasibility and siting analysis
  • Assist in landowner and stakeholder relationships
  • Power Purchase Agreement and Interconnection Agreement administration
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to project stakeholders
  • Provide due diligence reporting on potential projects including site feasibility analysis
  • Support land purchase and purchase option negotiation and administration

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Engineering, Land Use and Development, and Power Development education and background, or related preferred
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and participating in the management of contracts, schedules, budgets
  • Experience interfacing with public agencies on development and entitlement issues
  • Thorough understanding and practical experience with CEQA/NEPA
  • Have proficiency with MS Project or Oracle Primavera
  • Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS Project, MS PP, PM Web, SAP)
  • Solar industry experience preferred
  • Able to work independently with the ability to quickly resolve key project issues with little oversight
  • High level of professionalism with attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Superior time management and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Minimum BA/BS degree required – Engineering, Land Use Planning, Construction Management, or related preferred
  • Any courses in PV will be considered a plus

Location:
Mahwah, NJ.  This is an in-office position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up-to 15 pounds (ca. 7 kg) at times.
